It was a stormy evening (naturally) in Abilene, Texas. Matt and I had just wrapped up a job for FedEx in El Paso and were making the long drive back. The rain was coming down hard, visibility was low, and we were tired but content after a job well done.
As we approached an exit off the highway, something small darted across the road—tiny, soaked, and crying. We pulled over and found a kitten, no more than a few weeks old, shivering in the middle of the storm. Alone. Scared. But fighting. We couldn’t leave him behind!
Today, Stormy lives with us and holds the honorary title of Chief Happiness Officer at our company. Whether he’s climbing onto a laptop mid-meeting or brightening up the office with his antics, he reminds us to stay grounded, keep smiling, and always help when we see someone—or something—in need.
